Biographical

Jack Griffeth is an attorney at Roe Cassidy Coates & Price PA.  He began his legal career in 1976 as a workers comp and insurance defense litigator.   In 1998, Jack completed his training to become a certified mediator in South Carolina.  Thereafter, he and several attorneys from the Greenville, South Carolina area designed a mediation model for the county which was later adopted as the statewide procedure.  He has conducted over 1000 mediations covering a variety of legal issues using his extensive knowledge of the law and diplomatic skills.  As Jack says, trusting in the process is the key, because "mediation is not for quitters."

Jack serves as General Counsel to Wofford College and Spartanburg Methodist College.  Jack is a summa cum laude graduate of Wofford College where he earned his degree in Liberal Arts.  He received his Juris Doctor from Duke University. In 1976, Duke University created the Charles Murphy Award for Jack, in recognition of his unique collegial contributions to the Duke Law School community.  He is also the 2008 recipient of the Greenville Bar's most prestigious honor, the Tommy Thomason Award.

Jack is the Past President of the Greenville Bar Association, Past President for the South Carolina Bar Foundation Board of Directors and a member of the House of Delegates for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit.  He is also Past President of the South Carolina Bar's Alternative Dispute Resolution Council.
